Andrew Cush joined Cambridge in summer 2025 as a senior underwriter with 20+ years of experience in commercial real estate. Since 2010, he has focused primarily on underwriting and closing deals through the HUD Section 232 mortgage insurance program. Prior to joining Cambridge, he worked at Merchants Bank of Indiana as a senior underwriter for healthcare bridge loans. His previous experience includes stops at Greystone Funding Company, Housing & Healthcare Finance, and Red Capital Group. He performed in a variety of roles at those companies including underwriter/analyst, closing coordinator, servicer/asset manager, and accounting. Mr. Cush is currently a Section 232 LEAN Approved Underwriter and a MAP Approved Underwriter.

Over his career, Mr. Cush has underwritten or assisted in underwriting 140+ deals totaling over $1.3 billion for refinance, acquisition, new addition, and new construction/substantial rehabilitation transactions. Additionally, he has successfully closed over 200+ projects and modifications totaling over $2.2 billion.

Mr. Cush attended Fisher Business School at Ohio State University with a focus in accounting. He also attended Bradford School in Columbus, Ohio, with a focus in culinary arts.
