After receiving his B.S. degree in Finance from Valparaiso University in 1993, Mr. Reed joined Cambridge Realty Capital Ltd. of Illinois as a Junior Loan Officer. During his tenure at Cambridge, Mr. Reed has performed all facets of mortgage loan origination, underwriting, processing, closing and servicing of FHA-insured mortgages for both healthcare and apartment properties.
In his current position as Senior Vice President, Mr. Reed is responsible for marketing, placement, issuance and servicing of all Ginnie Mae Mortgage Backed Securities with various Wall Street trading partners. Since receiving approval from Ginnie Mae to issue securities in 1996, Mr. Reed has placed over $2 billion of securities with Wall Street trading firms, life insurance companies and pension funds.
In addition to the above he is also responsible for maintaining governmental compliance with HUD, LEAN and Ginnie Mae regulations. Mr. Reed is a highly skilled technician who on a daily basis interacts with borrowers, appraisers, property inspectors, environmental engineers, title officers, surveyors, construction contractors, attorneys and municipal officials to facilitate the compilation of data required to submit a successful loan application to HUD.
