Hymie I. Barber, Managing Director of Catalyst Resource Group, Inc., holds degrees in accounting and economics from Loyola University of Los Angeles. He has an exceptional background in real estate financing. He has been a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co., established a tax department and consulting practice for a mid-sized Los Angeles CPA firm, and has served as a junior partner and CFO for a closely held southern California real estate company. His accomplishments include varied acquisitions, development, account control, management of residential, industrial, commercial and retail facilities, rehabilitations, financings, sales, exchanges and the coordination of a $30 million workout with RTC.
Mr. Barber currently holds memberships in the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. His current community activities include service as Treasurer of the Hancock Park Homeowner's Association, Vice President of the Bureau of Jewish Education, a Board member of the Jewish Federation Council of Los Angeles, Chairman of the Legislation Committee of Agudath Israel of California and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society.
