Finance & Real Estate Internship

 

Description:

We seek mature, self-confident, aggressive individuals to work directly with principals and other associates at a leading healthcare real estate lending firm.  The intern must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong verbal skills. The internship involves contacting principals of businesses nationwide, working with loan officers on analysis of specific financing situations, and other work as assigned.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in investment analysis and underwriting using technical, computerized models formatted in Microsoft Excel.
  • Work with an experienced, growing firm completing varied tasks, while contacting principals and owners of small to large firms nationwide.
  • Participate in formal training on the long-term care industry and commercial mortgage banking.
  • Follow up with potential company clients regarding financing inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining client and investor database.
  • Learn about real estate lending and government involvement in the real estate and healthcare industries.
  • Assist in any way deemed appropriate in preparing offering packages that are similar to appraisals; photocopying, assembly and other work required.

 

Experience/Education:

Candidate must be currently obtaining an undergraduate/graduate degree preferably in finance, accounting, or real estate.

High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.  A proficiency test will be administered.

 

General:

This paid internship requires a commitment of a minimum of 6 months (longer term preferred) and minimum of 20 hours per week.

Marketing Internship

 

 

Description:

 

We seek mature, self-confident, aggressive individuals to work directly with principals and other associates at a leading healthcare real estate lending firm.  The intern must possess strong verbal skills and have a commitment to customer service. The internship involves developing business-to-business outreach strategies, contacting principals of businesses nationwide, and other work as assigned.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Making outbound sales calls to executives of other businesses
  • Reading from a script, and improvising as confidence and experience grows
  • Maintaining and updating Social Media outlets (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter) on a daily basis with informative/engaging content
  • Drafting weekly posts for company blog
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to inform and engage target markets
  • Using computers to retrieve, access and enter data
  • Tracking work and achieving goals
  • Updating client contact information in database

 

 

Experience/Education:

 

  • Good business communicator with experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Empathy, drive, motivation to service, conscientiousness, and self-esteem
  • Microsoft Windows, Word required. Excel experience beneficial.
  • Candidate must be currently obtaining an undergraduate/graduate degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications

 

Compensation:

This paid internship requires a commitment of a minimum of 6 months (longer term preferred) and

10- 20 hours per week.
